Which league Does the SB Travel Program Participate in?
We are entering the BAYS League. You can find out more information here.
Within Bays, most of our teams enter into the Boston Soccer League.
What is the Season Format and Schedule?
The season takes on two separate schedules. A fall schedule beginning in September and concluding in November and the Spring Schedule beginning in April with the season concluding in June.
Season contains 10 games with playoffs. Games are held on holiday weekends during the 10 game schedule.
Each Season consists of a weekly weekend game, the time and schedule of which is released by the BAYS. All games are scheduled on Saturdays.
Our home field is Saunders Stadium at Moakley Park, South Boston.
Each team will practice a minimum of once per week at Evans Field.
It is expected that each player can commit to most games and practices.
Where are home and away games played.
Home games will be played at Moakley Field, Saunders Stadium.
Away Games are played at the fields of those teams participating in each age groups Section. Travel to away games has generally been within 30 miles from the city.
Are there uniform and equipment purchasing requirements for players?
Each player will be required to purchase a uniform kit (2 Shirts, Shorts, Socks and a practice jersey). Cost is estimated to be $50-$80 (in addition to registration fee). Uniforms can be used for both/multiple seasons.
We will offer optional training items and team garments and equipment for purchase.
What is the Estimated Cost of the Program?
We are currently estimating the Season Cost to be between $230-$250 (Older age groups have higher Bays registration fee). This includes the following:
Participation in the Fall or Spring season (Each BAYS season will be a seperate registration)
1-2 Team Practices per week @ Evans Field.
MA Youth Soccer registration fee (Required for all players in BAYS)
Tryouts.
Uniforms
Uniforms replacements can be purchased seperate from registration fees for returning players.
When are Tryouts for the Teams?
Evaluations for Fall 2026 season are scheduled as follows:
Grade 5,6,7,8 (Boys and Girls): Tuesday 6/16/26 @ 5:30PM
Grade 3,4 (Boys and Girls): Wednesday 6/17/26 @ 5:30PM
If you can not attend the evaluation, we ask you still complete the registration form so we can mark your interest when assesing team structure for Fall 2026.
What Teams are being considered for the Fall 2025 League?
We are currently planning on entering Girls teams and Boys teams. Each team is designated by age as defined by the Grade being entered by each player in the fall of 2026.
FInal team quanity and grade entered will depend on registration numbers to support each team.
Anticipated Girls Teams: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 8 (Grade 7/8 combo)
Anticipated Boys Teams: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6
Per BAYS regulations, Grade 3 is the youngest age group that can be registered. Teams can also be mixed (3rd/4th, 4th/5th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th). This will be decided by SBSC and coaches after tryout evaluations for proper team placement into BAYS.
Most teams are entered into the Boston Soccer League, through Bays.

Are there Citykids FC soccer program options in addition to BAYS travel?
Yes! Citykids FC will still operate our in-house leagues for any age group that does not enter a team/teams into the BAYS travel program Both in the fall and the Spring.
